Adidas, which spent tens of millions of pounds to be an official sponsor, ran a campaign featuring Team GB athletes and the hashtag ‘#takethestage’.

UX Adventure—A generally unpaid project or activity that a user experience professional decides to do on non-work time to enhance his or her professional user experience credentials.

The oft-cited Jevons paradox proposes that using a resource with more efficiency actually increases, rather than decreases, the use of that resource. But it’s not obvious that efficiency and growth are complements.

Si tratta di aiutare i governi e le aziende a prendere decisioni migliori, approfondendo i loro sforzi sia per coinvolgere i cittadini sia per leggere i dati che emergono dalle relazioni.

La rete è uno strumento che permette di condividere e aggregare skills e conoscenze rilevanti spesso più strategiche rispetto a ciò che un rappresentante del middle management possa prevedere.

Governare oggi vuol dire questo: il sapere affrontare i problemi che vanno risolti con metodo e attraverso processi cognitivi ben organizzati e diffusi, fortemente partecipativi, il che significa istruire cantieri complessi ma che sanno anche decidere, togliendo lo stato italiano dalle sue arcaicità. Un’opera titanica. Ma senza la quale c’è solo il lamento, la recriminazione o la conservazione di élites ormai logore.

For the customer to continue to use the product, she needed to send it in to get the photos processed and printed, and for the new roll to be loaded. Cameras, which were once standalone products, now became points of entry into a service.

On its own, a simple camera is meaningless, because the entire photographic process (loading a camera, exposing the light-sensitive material, removing that material, processing the material, printing images from that material) could not get any simpler. Eastman’s genius was in designing his system so customers could do what mattered most to them—capturing the image (“You press the button”). Eastman located other functions elsewhere in the system (“We do the rest”), allowing the Kodak camera to be remarkably straightforward to use.
